Ashley is our take on the ergo 60% layout, pioneered by Lyn’s EM7 and made famous by TGR Alice. Strong emphasis was put on symmetry and aesthetics, as well as contemporary internals. The result is a keyboard that is both a joy to look at and to type on.

Design Goals

Layout with as much visual symmetry as possible
‘Tsangan’-like bottom row with the use of 1u and 1.5u mods
Base kit compatibility with a wide range of keysets (GMK White on Black as benchmark)
Support of bottom row layout variations with one hotswappable PCB
Uniform bezel width
Same design language as the O17
Supple typing feel with a brass plate
Reduced hollowness without the use of foam
Low and shallow USB-C port

Design Features and Specifications

7-degree typing angle, 12-degree key rotation
Mounting system: The plate is sandwiched between 8 pairs of soft poron gaskets that are short and thick, with effectively zero compression by the case halves, giving the plate/PCB assembly plenty of vertical travel
Side undercut that wraps around to the back then tapers off towards the USB-C port
Acoustic ports on the undercut allowing air to escape from the bottom case, reducing hollowness
Brass through-hole weight
Brass/PC/aluminum plate
Hotswappable PCB supporting multiple layouts, QMK/Vial firmware, RGB underglow
Bespoke USB-C daughterboard with ESD and overcurrent protection
Weight: 1.27kg (with switches, PC plate and keycaps)
